There’s nothing wrong with having vendor distros—polish, automation, testing, and documentation are always welcome—but their raison d’e?tre shouldn’t just be the environment complexity. Ideally setting things up should be possible without too much hasle. But the Linux world proves that the convenience of distros cannot be challenged.
