The birth of the Beatles
All four Beatles were born in Liverpool, England.Originally Lennon and McCartney had played together in a group called The Quarry men. Because of their high school named quarry. At a later date with Harrison, they formed their own group named 'The Silver Beatles', before Starr joined them in 1962 July to form the Beatles as we know them today.
In their music, the Beatles moved from simple love songs to songs about changes taking place in 1960s society. The albums Rubber Soul and Revolver were considered musical breakthroughs.
In 1964, the group appeared on American television’s The Ed Sullivan Show. They were seen by 73 million people, and the sensation known as Beatlemaniawas launched. Screaming fans followed the Beatles everywhere and bought their records in unheard-of numbers.
The broke-up of the Beatles
In1970, the Beatles announced their breakup. After, their lease of their final album, Let it Be, to pursue individual careers.
Each of the Beatles went on to a solo career. But fans always hoped the group would get back together. This hope ended when Lennon was murdered by an obsessed fan in1980.In 2001, Harrison died of cancer. But fans know that the Beatles will somehow never really die.
