Unit 8 When is your birthday?

Unit8 Section B(1a-1d) Teaching and Learning Goals:

Talk about months and dates. Learn the key sentences. When is your birthday? Listen for one’s calendar and know the events. We should make plan to do sth.

Teaching and learning steps: Step1.

1.Revision: First, let the Ss speak out twelve months of the year, and make some Ss spell the words. Second, ask some pairs to act out the conversation in Section A, 2e. 2. Show the Ss a picture of the calendar. Let the Ss say like this:

Step2.

1. Review the knowledge about sports nouns. eg. basketball, soccer, baseball, volleyball and so on. Using the sports nouns, let Ss make up dialogues. 2

反思:本课为听说课,但听力部分为主要内容。在本节课中,我采取了PWP的教学流程。即听力前,听力中,听力后。在听力前,解决单词,为下一步的听力做好准备,同时,也让学生了解了听力相关内容。正式听力时,采取先听取大意,再细节听知识点的方法,与此同时,要求学生在笔记本上写下相关句子。这有利于练习学生的听写能力。最后,在听力后,就听力内容,让学生展开小组讨论并做对话。以记者调查的方式,让学生了解组内成员的日程表,贴合实际,有利于学生情境交际运用的能力培养。

本节课,脉络比较清晰,但总体上,增加了不少内容,在教课过程中,应避免复习时间过长影响正课的进行。同时,应大范围地让学生对话练习,小组讨论。 Keys:
