摘要: The use of zone plates was limited by low yield and pronounced chromaticaberration. The increasing use of lasers reduces the disadvantage of chromaticaberration; outbreaks zone plates have better performance but are difficult to
manufacture. In the method of the present invention, a Fabry-Pérot interferometer (28)which can produce an image with concentric fringe finesse, and is made in an adjustablemanner so that the image can be enlarged (or reduced), characteristically on a range of aspacing of a fringe. The image is projected onto a layer (12) of a photoprotective lacqueron a suitable substrate (10). While the image is enlarged on a spacing of a fringe, the lightintensity in the image varies, so that when the photoprotective lacquer (12) is expanded,the radial section between two positions of any fringes takes the form a wedge (18) whichis that required by a spike zone plate. An appropriate chemical treatment can extend thewedge shape to the entire substrate or part of it. A yield of about 60% can be obtained.
