A:I’m fine, too! Time flies! Spring Festival is around the corner.
B: yeah, how to celebrate Spring Festival in your region?
A: Before Spring festival, we do Spring Festival shopping, and clean the house. It’s tired but very interesting. There are so many things to buy that everyone of my family is busy and we have to make a list. After we finish shopping, we paste New Year paintings, place doublets on our doors to welcome new year. B:I went to the Great Wall with my parents.

B:We took the bus directly to the foot of the Great Wall.

B:Yes, after hundreds of steps I felt powerless and thirsty. But finally, I managed to stand on the highest point.
A:What did you see on top of the Great Wall?
B:Oh,it was so beautiful and shocking! The mountains were green and grand.
A:Do you know the famous saying about the Great Wall?
B:Yes,you are not a real hero until you have climbed the Great Wall.
A:There must be many tuorists there?
B:Yes, there were thousands of visitors, and many of them were foreigners.
A:Did you try to talk with them In English?
B:Yes,I talked with a tourist from German，he asked me for help.
A:Have you travelled elsewhere?
B:Yes, besides the Great Wall, we also travelled the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace and other famous places in Beijing.

3.Transport

A:I am fine, too! Which type of transportation do you usually use?
B:I usually ride a bicyle. It's fast and cheap. I also needn't look for a large parking place in a crowded area or build a garage at home.
A:What means of transportation do you prefer to use when you travel in a long trip?
B:If it's a long tip, I prefer taking a train. Not only is it more economical, but also the speed has improved in the past few years. Though air travel is faster, I think, it is most expensive for most people in our country.
A:What about boat, have you ever taken a boat?
B:If I have an alternative, I would never take a boat. Because I am seasick. What about you, what type of transportation do you use in the city?
A:I take the subway in Beijing. The subway system is very good. It is clean and fast.

4.Education
A: Do you know, last month one of my best friends went to America?
B: Oh, really. What does he do in America?
A: He went into Columbia University to get the master’s degree.
B: That’s a good university. What major does he study?
A: He studies economy mathematics. Maybe after he graduates, he will work in a company of Wall Street in America.
B: Oh, I really admire him.
A: Do you like to study in America?
B: Yes, I’d like to.
A: So why?
B: Because I think there are many good universities in America. These universities have enough scientific research find, many famous scientists, and a lot of advanced equipments.
A: I agree with you. We can learn more in those universities. That’s really the good place we do research. But I think recently the research ability of our country is becoming better and better. In some subjects our country’s scientists are the best in the world.
B: Yes, you are very right. But I think there are many problems in our education. And in some subjects it is still difficult to do research because of not enough scientific research fund and equipments. So if I have a chance to go abroad, I will go into the university in America.
A: Ok, I hope you would get a chance and accept the education in America one day. So you could make you dream come true.
B: Oh, I also hope so, thank you.

A:I am fine, too! Can you tell me some cultural differences in greeting and addressing each other between China and Western countries?
B:Sure. There are lots of cultural differences between the East and the West.For example, Chinese may not choose a kiss as a greeting method, while kiss greeting
is very common in the West. In addition, Chinese people are more shamed than people in West.
A:What is the reason do you think making these differences?
B:Well,as far as I am concernd,Chinese culture is based on collectivism, people place country and family above themselves. While the Western culture is based on individualism rather than collectivism.
A:Which one is better in your mind?
B:It's very hard to say which is better. It's complicated. I think both the two cultures are great.

6.Love

B:Well,Jane Eyre is a impressive romantic story.

A:I'd like to take the romantic story of Romeo and Juliet as my favor.
B:I've read this story too.It's the famous work of Shakespeare.
A:Yes.They fell in love with each other at the first sight, and tried to be together by evey means they could think of, even death.
B:The story has a sad ending, but still is very good romantic story.

7.Entertainment

A:I am fine, too! What do you usually do in your spare time?
B:Well, I will go to see a movie to relax myself. You know, there is much stress
in our life, I think some entertainments like going to a cinema is a good choice to
relieve the stress.
A:You are right, we can't survive without entertainments in modern times.
B:What about you, what do you like to do in your spare time?
A:I like playing basketball to kill my free time, and I will also see some movies from
internet, it's totally free of charge.
B:Do you liking singing? Many young people will go to a KTV.
A:Yes,sometimes I will go to a KTV with my friends.
