摘要：The method provides for successive frames of a small image to be inserted intoa main image consisting of successive frames to be written alternately frame-by-frame
into one of two storage areas of a storage device, for a decision signal, which specifiesfrom which of the two storage areas a stored frame of the small image is to be read, tobe generated in each case at the beginning of the displaying of a main image and thus forthe small image to be inserted into the main image without overlapping of images. Toachieve interference-free insertion of the small image, line interlace inversions in theimage to be inserted can also be avoided. In addition, the method according to theinvention provides for picture-in-picture insertion at twice the frame repetition rate or,respectively, twice the field repetition rate which results in good reduction of flickering inthe small image to be inserted.
