摘要：A fuel fired drying system for a continuous material feed has the material (WB)passed horizontally between upper and lower drying jets (3,4) fed by twin blowers whichdraw hot gasses from a common duct (11). The hot gasses comprise combustion gasses
from the burner and recirculated gasses. If the material feed stops, a safety procedureswitches the by-pass flaps for the lower drying jets to shut off the drying flow onto thematerial while the blower of the other jets has its speed reduced, or stopped, by afrequency switch. With the by-pass flaps switched into the safety setting a recirculatinggas flow is maintained so that the drying process can be re-started at the selectedtemperature.
