摘要：A device for aerating liquids includes a hollow vaned rotor arranged at thebottom of a tank for rotation about a vertical axis and having at the leading side of eachvane a vertical imperforate impeller surface inclined non-radially away from the directionof rotation and at the trailing side an air outlet opening. The device motor is locatedabove the rotor in driving relation to a hollow rotor hub communicating with the rotorinterior and is constructed for immersion in the liquid. A stator encircles the rotor and hastwo vertically spaced horizontal rings between which is arranged a plurality of non-radially inclined vertical guide or deflector plates, the outer diameter of the stator ringsbeing from 2 to 5 times the outer diameter of the rotor, and the diameter of the locus ofthe distal ends of the guide plates being from 1.5 to 2.0 times the outer diameter of therotor. A support structure, which includes a plurality of leveling screws resting on thetank bottom, is provided to mount the drive motor and the stator in such a way that afirst space is left between them to enable liquid to flow therethrough in a controlledfashion into the inter-vane impeller chambers from above, and that a second space is leftbelow the stator to enable liquid to enter the impeller chambers from below and toaccommodate a section of the air intake duct which communicates at one end with thebottom end of the rotor hub via a labyrinth packing and at its other end extends up and
out of the tank outside the confines of the stator.
