摘要：An optical transmission path monitoring and controlling method including thesteps of monitoring a probe light beam and other multiplexed light beams which areincluded in a multiplex light ray propagated through a transmission path in an opticaltransmission system, detecting values of the monitored probe light beam and othermultiplexed light beams, while the other multiplexed light beams are in a multiplexedstate, in relation to predetermined values, respectively. A determination is made basedupon the detected value of whether or not at least one of an optical transmission pathtrunk line, the probe light beam per se, the other multiplexed light beams per se, anoptical amplifier and a transmitter is normal.
