摘要：The ability of a plant to defend against attack by bacteria, and any virus borneby the bacteria, is enhanced by transforming the plant genome with a gene of bacterialorigin which enables the plant to produce a bacterial pheromone, N-acyl-L-homoserinelactone. Such plants also secrete the lactone into the soil enhancing the protective effectof antifungal rhozobacteria.
