摘要：The present invention relates to a composition and process for inhibiting fattyspew on leather comprising an oiling component in combination with a Guerbet alcoholhaving the general formula I:

R.sup.1 --CH(CH.sub.2 OH)--R.sup.2 (I)

wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2, independently of one another represent an alkyl groupcontaining from 6 to 12 carbon atoms, and wherein the total number of carbon atoms perGuerbet alcohol molecule is in the range from 16 to 24.
