Teaching procedures
step1: Ask students to give the English name of animals in the Power Point on the
blackboard.
They can write the names of whatever animals they know.
Step2: Have the students read the text silently. Then answer the question in “think
about it”, teacher can Encourage students to try to answer the questions. (1)、What’s your favourite animals? Why ? (2)、Do you have a pet ?Would you like to have one? (3)、Does Jenny have a pet ? What about Danny and Brian?
Spet3:teacher explain the meanings of this lesson, and explain the language notes.

Spet4: After the teacher’s explanation, ask the questions:
What animal would Brian like to have for pet?
Ask individual students questions . The students give natural answers. Does Jenny have a pet? Does Brian have a pet?
Where will he keep it at first?
Danny will call his duck Donuts, won’t he? Where will Brian keep his pet?
Why will he need to plant a tree in his room?
Step5: Do exercises in the Power Point on the blackboard. Step6: homework
