Our school English newspaper is doing a survey over\"Learning English Beyond the Classroom\"among 1000 students we randomly choose from different grades at different levels.The participants’opinions on English learning activities are mainly divided into four categories as thebarchart shows.
65%of the students believe listening to English music contributes to their English learning whilehalf of them enjoy watching English movies to learn English.Reading English books or magazines is very important to acquire English but unluckily only 18%of them do so.Most of the students love surfing online but the percentage of students browsing English-related
websites is disappointingly low---only 12%.In my view,it’s not bad to listen to English music or watch English movies asthe students’interest enhances their learning efficiency.
However,more students should be encouraged to read English books,magazines or newspapers as the written language is classic and most useful.Some other methods are also recommended,for example,communicating with native Englishspeakers.
