More specifically, a team sportmay be selected from a plurality of team sports and a team having a plurality of positionsmay be assembled to participate in the team sporting event. One or more players may beassociated with each position on the team. Each player may have a player profile thatdescribes player information such as a player's name, games scheduled for the player,and the player's statistics. A player may create a sporting event for a team and may alsosearch for a sporting event in which to play as an individual player or as a position on ateam. A player may also search for a sporting event by the location of the sporting eventand obtain information about the location, time, teams, and players associated with thesporting event.
