Unit8 How can I get to the nearest bank?

(第一课时教学设计)

一.教学目标

1.知识目标

1)学生能掌握相关词汇和短语,如bank,crossroad, roadside, across, traffic lights, go along, turn left /right, take the first turn on the left / right等。

2)学生能掌握有关问路和指路的句型,如: Excuseme. How can I get to the nearest bank?

Isit by the roadside?

Goalong the road and turn right at the first crossroads.

2.能力目标

1)学生能够听懂有关问路和指路的对话。(2)学生能够简单的使用祈使句问路和指路。

3.情感目标

1)通过听说练习,培养学生大胆开口、勇于实践的良好学习习惯。

2)通过学习问路和指路的对话,强化学生“路在嘴边”的观念,即使到陌生的环境也不必紧张和忧虑,只要虚心请教,勤于问路就能达到想去的地方。

同时,引导学生乐于助人,积极为同学,亲人,陌生人指路。

二.教学重点、难点

1.教学重点

1)通过听和读的练习,学生能够掌握相关词汇、短语、以及句子。(2)通过有关问路和指路的对话,学生能够理解和运用祈使句。

2.教学难点

1)学生根据提供图片和词汇,在口头上能够简单表达问路和指路。(2)学生根据所学内容,能够在日常生活中用英语与他人交流有关指路和

问路的话题。

三.教学方式

本课主要采用“任务型教学法”、“情景教学法”和“竞赛法”,并且在

课堂中贯穿过程性评价。

五.教学过程

Step1. Warm-up
1. Listen to an English song.

Step2. Lead-in
1.TAreyou happy today? I’m very happy today. And I have a good news totell you . Look! (出示PPT,然后通过提问引出主题)
2.Let’s chant.

的注意力。既有利于创造轻松、愉悦的课堂氛围,又能自然引入到本单元的词汇的学习。并

且为下面的环节提供铺垫。)

Step3. Look and match
Inthis part, several phrases as well as pictures would be given. Thestudents would be asked to choose the proper expressions to match theactions in the pictures.

2.Translate the phrases into English.

3.Read the useful words and phrases.

Step5. Practice
1.In this part, show a map and ask students to help the boy find theway to the hospital.



2.Show a map to the students and ask them to give the directions.

Step6. Dialogue A
1.Listen to the dialogue.

2.Read the dialogue.

3.Explain the main points of the dialogue to the students.

4.The whole class would be divided into tow groups to act the dialogue,thus having a better understanding.

5.Ask students to practice the dialogue with their partners and act itout 6. Evaluate the students’ performance.

Step7. Listening
1.Listen and tick----activity 4
Inthis section, the students will listen to a piece of dialogue to tickthe mentioned place in the dialogue.

2.Listen and complete----activity 5
Inthis section, the students will listen to a piece of dialogue, ofwhich some blanks are omitted. They should complete the dialogue.

Step8. Role-play
1.Give students a map to practice the useful expressions on how to “askfor directions” and “give directions”.

2.Ask a student to make a dialogue with me according to the Role-play.

3.Ask some pairs to make a dialogue according to the Role-play.

4.Evaluate the students’ performance.

Step9. Summarize
1.Review the words and the useful expressions on how to “ask fordirections” and “give directions”.

1.Make a dialogue on one’s own according to the Role- play.
