掌握be supposed to句型的用法. 能运用本单元的一些词组短语熟练表达自己的认知观点,介绍各国的风俗习惯。词组短语:be supposed to do ,it’s impolite to do ,it’s rude to do , you should do ....
2. 情感态度价值观目标:
1.) 进一步了解不同国家的见面礼仪,生活习俗和对时间的看法。了解西方国家的风俗尤其餐桌礼仪,以及中国的餐桌礼仪,互相尊重。
2. )了解中西方文化差异,培养学生跨文化交际意识。 3.)培养学生追求文明生活的习惯,在日常学习做优雅文明
人,在学校做德才兼备的新时代的中学生。

Step 1 Greetings and role-play

Purpose: Greetings and lead in ,Tell the Ss the main idea of this class.
T: Good morning, boys and girls. Let’s start our lesson , We’ll have a fun lesson because I know some “foreigners”are sitting among you ,right ? We all know different countries different customs. So I want to know some customs of different countries. OK, let’s learn about some of their manners for the first time first.
Step 1 Guessing Game
Purpose: 1. )Revise the useful expression---be supposed
to do;
2. )Revise some meeting ways of different
countries ,use a game to make the Ss feel relaxed
Ask one pair to act how the French people do when they meet for the first time. Make the other Ss guess where they come from. Then, Make the Ss Look at the blackboard,( show the flashcards 4-7) make the Ss guess which country they come from.( Brazil, Mexico Korea ,France)
Step 3 Talk Show(flash8-10)
Purpose: ask and answer between the teacher and the Ss, make the Ss know some ideas of time ,visiting friends,

attending a party,etc in foreign countries such as America,Colombia and Switzerland.
OK, the teacher said, “I want to know some customs of America ,who can tell me ?” Paul stands,
Paul: In America, if you want to attend a party. You should pay attention to some things. First,the time.You’re not supposed to arrived late. Second, you should greet in the right way. Then, you’re supposed to wear the right clothes. If you take a small gift ,you’re expected.
The teacher said,Well ,I see .Thank you, paul. Oh,Would you tell me more about your customs? “how about yours, Teresa and Marc?” then, Teresa and Marc take turns to talk their customs “We’re both supposed to shake hands for the first time .”
Teresa: In Colombia ,we’re also supposed to shake hands for the first time. And we’re relaxed about the time. It’s not the same as Mars’. We don’t like to rush around, so we don’t mind if people are a little late sometimes. We often drop by our friend’s homes if we have time.

Marc: In Switzerland, it’s very important to be on time.We’re the capital of clocks and watches,after all.If someone invites you to meet him or her at noon, then you’re expected to be there at noon. Also, we never visit a friend’s house without calling first.We usually plan to do something interesting, or go somewhere together.
Step 4 Free Talk(flash11-18)
Purpose: ask the Ss talk about Chinese table manners and others,let them know the difference between Chinese and foreign table manners.Make them know it’s polite to do as Romans do when in Rome.
Teacher:Thank you. Well, I know lots of foreign customs.Would you tell us more, maybe the table manners.,I think it’s the biggest challenge for most people abroad.
Ask some Ss to tell some table manners, such as China, India, the United States, France, Japan, Korea,etc.
Step 4 Easy time
Ater that,ask two groups to act out Chinese and French table manners, they can do like this: Choose two Ss act , the

others take turns to explain .let the Ss know the difference of the two countries’table manners.
Step5 Try it please(flash20-21)
Purpose: Learn the different table manners again,especially the useful phrases.
Make the Ss fill in the blanks by themselves, then correct in groups.
Step6 Pair work (flash22-23)
Purpose:Ask and answer in pairs to revise the useful phrases; Get the Ss to know What they are supposed to do at home? Let them not only know What to do in foreign countries but also know What to do in our daily life ,make them be polite men in daily life.
The teacher divide the Ss into two groups ,give them each one task,one is supposed to do the other is not supposed to do,let them talk about What are they supposed to do or not to do in groups ,then let them talk in front of the class. Make them know we should live polite happy life.
Step7 Group work(flash24-25)

Purpose: Make the Ss know What should do at school.Let them know how to be a top student in our school: Who must have both the knowledge and good manners.
The teacher let the Ss discuss in groups first, , then ask them to write at least five sentences , ask some of them show their sentences in front of the class.
Stept8 Homework
Purpose: According to the class, give the Ss two tasks: One is about the different customs,the other is about How to be a top student. That’s What we should do in our school。 Boardwriting:

教学反思:新课程标准基础教育阶段英语课程的任务中明确规定:激发和培养学生学习英语的兴趣,使学生树立自信心,养成良好的学习习惯和形成有效的学习策略,发展自主学习的能力和合作精神;使学生掌握一定的英语基础知识和听、说、读、写技能,形成一定的综合语言运用能力;培养学生的观察、记忆、思维、想象能力和创新精神;帮助学生了解世界和中西方文化的差异,拓展视野,培养爱国主义精神,形成健康的人生观,为他们的终身学习和发展打下良好的基础。根据此标准,我特意设计了这一堂Different Countries Different Customs 综合活动实践课。旨在通过探究不同国家不同风俗习惯激发和培养学生学习英语的兴趣;让学生小组合作课下收集资料,并自主排演本组节目旨在发展学生自主学习的能力和合作精神;通过课上一系列的听说读写的活动,使学生掌握一定的英语基础知识和听、说、读、写技能,形成一定的综合语言运用能力;小组表演:中外餐桌礼仪对抗,旨在培养学生的观察、记忆等特别是创新能力;事实证明,学生自己排演的节目,尤其是表演中国餐桌礼仪的一组,有解说有动作表演虽稚嫩但确实有自己的创新。本课设计本就旨在帮助学生了解中西方文化的差异,因而先讨论外国的见面礼,出席聚会的礼仪,到对时间的看法,拜访朋友的习惯等,最后到中外餐桌礼仪,旨在拓展学生视野,帮助学生了解中西方文化差异,培养学生跨文化交际意识。并告诉学生要互相尊重(We should respect each other),并要入乡随俗(When in Rome, do as Romans do), 最后转到中学生的日常生活,通过

pairwork,groupwork,强化练习We are supposed to … / We are not supposed to …We should / shouldn’t …It’s polite / rude to …We are allowed to …We aren’t allowed to …We can / could / can’t / couldn’t等知识目标,同时也让学生了解我们新时代的青年人应该追求文明生活的习惯,在日常生活中学习做优雅文明人,特别是在学校要做德才兼备的新时代的中学生---这也正是我校的办学宗旨(育人和成才并重----我校的办学理念)。
课的流程比较顺利,只是开始录课前,分组摆放桌子时与录播人员有分歧,最后草草摆放,学生情绪受到影响,课上情绪不太高,气氛有些不太活跃;再来,毕竟是录像课,师生都有些紧张,这也是情绪不高原因之一。
