摘要：Described are computer-based methods and apparatuses, including computerprogram products, for policy-based content insertion. A client device transmits to acontent server a request for the delivery of content. The content server modifies the

request based on an ingress policy. The content server transmits the modified request toa second server where the second server processes the request. The second servertransmits a reply to the modified request to the content server. The reply includes acontent insertion instruction. The content server transmits the content to the clientdevice based on the content insertion instruction and/or one or more egress policies.
