The new SafeCap from Ford tracks head movements to determine if a wearer is about to nod off. The trucking industry is a demanding field where drivers have to cover many miles to meet tight deadlines, sometimes requiring them to drive through the night——a risky practice for drivers. Research has found 11 percent of Brazilian lorry drivers, who drive more than 60, 000 miles per year on average, have been in an accident over the past two years. It's called SafeCap, and it was produced in Sao Paulo by Ford and a creative agency called GTB.
