摘要：A slot welded impeller for a compressor is disclosed having a slotted cover (10)and a hub (22) with a plurality of extending vanes (26). The cover (10) and hub (22) areoriented such that the vanes (26) are disposed against the opposite side of the cover (10)from the grooves (12), and the cover (10) is welded to the hub (22) by welding thegrooves (12) from the groove side of the cover to the vanes. A slot (14) may be providedat the base of each groove (12) extending through the cover (10) and in contact with theoutermost surfaces of the vanes (26) to provide a better weld. The slot area is slightlysmaller than the outer surface of the vanes (26) to provide some overlap between eachslot (14) and its corresponding vane (26).
