摘要：A reference clock pulse generator (24) transmits a reference clock signal from amaster device (10) to a slave device (12). A modulator is used for modulating the

reference clock signal with a piece of information on a common time basis for the masterdevice and the slave device to produce a modulated reference clock signal. The masterdevice and the slave device each have a time measurement unit (26,30) for assigning arelevant time of sending or receiving a piece of measurement information. An

independent claim is also included for a method of time synchronizing of a master deviceand a slave device.
