Mobile soil-tamping appliance with a first roller runner (4) and a second rollerrunner (6), the two roller runners having rollers (5, 7) of differing design, and the rollerrunners being capable of being brought selectively into the working position by means ofa lifting device (13), characterized in that connected to the second roller runner (6) is adistortion-resistant intermediate frame (11) which is itself connectable to the first rollerrunner (4) or to the frame of the soil-tamping appliance selectively releasably, pivotablyand non-pivotably under operating conditions and on which the second roller runner (6)is mounted pivotably and against which the lifting device (13) of the second roller runner(6) is supported.
