As in August, China had 6.97 million left-behind children, about one-third of all rural children.
With Spring Festival arriving, the govemment is calling on parents working outside to r 82 home and celebrate the new year with their kids. In fact, children living without their parents can face many problems, such as their e 83 , safety and mental (,L,理的) health. For example, their grandparents may not be able to help them with their homework or raise them properly. This can cause children to have an u 84 feeling, according to Workers' Daily.
The govemment has taken some action to care for and p 85 eft-behind children, such as sending gocial workerg to rural areas. They will r 86 to the govemment if they find that any lefi-behind child is suffenng from abuse (虐待), China Daily noted.
But the best solution is to bring parents and children back t 87 . The govemment has encouraged those workers to go back to their rural hometowns to look for work and business opportunities. Another solution is to make it easier for rural children to attend schools in the cities.

Since we were not allowed to feed the white cat, it was hard for him to find food on the street. He became all gkin and bones. Diana was born in 1949. At an early age9 she showed great interest in swimming and she once won the first prize in a high school swimming competition. Like many young swimmers, she had Olympic dreams, but a serious illness kept her from taking part in the Games. The disappointment didn't stop her from going forward. Instead, she became interested in marathon swimming. With her good health, she did well in spending a long time in the water. As a long-distance swimmer, she would compete against herself and overcome the difficulties she met during the period, such as danger, cold and so on.
Efforts paid off. In 1970, she swam in a ten-mile marathon and set the women's record for the course. In 1972 she set another record by swimming 102.5 miles from an island in the Bahamas to the coast of Florida, Then she broke a third record when swimming around Manhattan Island in 1975.
Although she didn't swim for a long time, she told the world her confidence and strong desire to succeed. When Diana ended her career as a swimmer, she still kept working-travelling around the world as a reporter, writing books and giving public speeches about her life. Diana is working to encourage others, just as she did when she swam the waters of the world. (15. T 16. F 17. F 18. T 19. F 20. T) D.
It can be a special experience to go on a family trip during the holiday season, but one reason that many parents choose to stay at home is the cost of travel. Here are some ways of reducing your travel expenses.
Flying is a fast way to arrive at your destination, but the cost of airline tickets can really add up if you are buying flights for the whole family. Often, it is cheaper to pay for gas if the whole family can fit in the car.
If your destination is too far to drive to, you should look at a variety of choices for your flight times. For example, it is often cheaper to fly on Christmas day instead of flying a few days before Christmas. Also taking early morning flights is cheaper than traveling during the daytime.
Eating out while you are on the road can quickly increase the trip cost, and it's much cheaper to stop at the grocery store, planning your own food instead. If you plan to cat out, then it's usually cheaper to eat at a restaurant during breakfast or lunch, allowing you to skip the higher dinner prices. Also, it might be cheaper to visit an all-inclusive place. These places include all the meals and a variety of activities, and many of them have children's activities so that the kids can enjoy themselves during the trip.
