Choosing Nobel Prize Winners 教学设计

1.整体设计思路、指导依据说明 本课主要采用自主学习,教师引导为主,利用多媒体(PPT)渗透到阅读教学,实现阅读课文的整体教学。以报纸关于莫言的报导导入,认识Alfred Nobel, 并简单介绍关于诺贝尔奖的背景知识。始终以学生作为学习的主体,循序渐进,从掌握文章大意到进行文章细节分析,再到找关键词或主题句,利用它们复述课文并进行词汇巩固,培养学生阅读技能。最后,学生通过模拟挑选诺贝尔得主的过程完成这个课时的学习。 2.教学背景分析 教学内容分析: 本节课主题是:? 内容紧扣住本单元的话题Choosing Nobel Prize Winners,课文主要围绕how the nobel prize winners are chosen展开。通过本课阅读教学,让学生掌握通过找关键词或主题句,把握文章的脉络,并学会复述课文,同时,对文中的词汇进行猜测和记忆,提升学生综合技能。 学生情况分析: 本课的教学对象是高二年纪B班学生,具备一定的语言自主学习能力,但是英语阅读水平不高,词汇量小,且不善于抓关键信息。 3.教学目标分析 1.认识莫言及其他诺贝尔获得者, 获得关于诺贝尔奖的一些背景知识 2.学会关于诺贝尔的基本词汇,并弄清诺贝奖获得者如何选拔的. 3. 强化抓关键信息及通过关键信息复述甚至概括全文的能力。 4.教学重点、难点分析 教学重点: 能读懂全文,及猜测文中生词含义并掌握以下词汇fortune,establish,instruction,outstanding physiology,literature,award ,institution,committee, candidate, jury, majority review, anniversary等。 找出文章各段关键词或主题句,并利用它们进行课文复述 教学难点: 利用关键词或者主题句进行课文大意复述 光明新区高级中学 编制 赖晓露

5.教学过程设计 步骤1:导入 T: (Show Ss a photo of Mo Yan) do you know who this man is ? S: Mo Yan T: What news about Mo? (point to the titile of the newspaper: Mo’s Nobel prize) S: he got the nobel prize in literature T: have you read his books? Tell me some of his famous books. S: frog… T: since Mo got the nobel prize, do you know who establish the nobel prize(show them another photo of Alfred nobel)? Share some background information of the Nobel Prize. We know it is very hard for Mo to get the Nobel prize. Do you know how Nobel Prize winners like Mo Yan are chosen 设计意图:运用最近的热门新闻,同时学生比较感兴趣,甚至了解的新闻进行导入,能够引起学生和教师的共鸣,拉近学生和教师的距离,并进行相关背景介绍,为创造一个热情的、活跃的、和谐的课堂气氛打下基础。 步骤3:预测 From the title, can you guess what the text will talk about? 设计意图:设计这项活动的目的是为培养学生通过标题或者主题句进行预测的能力。 步骤5:阅读策略 ReadingⅠ ---skimming 1.What‟s the passage mainly about? ( ) A. How the Nobel prize winners are chosen B. How the Nobel foundation was established C. How different groups give out the Nobel Prize. D. How the jury was chosen 设计意图:培养学生阅读技巧,抓住文章主要信息。通过fast reading,可以使学生对文章大意有初步的了解,整体把握文章,并根据文章中的关键信息找出文章主旨 Reading Ⅱ------scanning 1. True or False.
